# About Rides.je

Rides.je is the vehicle marketplace for Jersey, Channel Islands. It aggregates the live stock of the island’s motor dealers — cars, vans, motorbikes and boats — into one searchable catalogue, updated from dealer feeds every night, alongside an import-duty calculator, motor finance enquiries and market insights.

## Our mission

To give Jersey a single, modern platform where every dealer can showcase
their stock and every buyer can find the right vehicle — quickly,
transparently and without hassle.

## For buyers

Search across all of Jersey's dealer stock in one place. Save favourite
listings, set up alerts for new arrivals, and use the import calculator to
estimate the on-the-road cost of a UK vehicle landed in Jersey.

Using Rides.je as a buyer is free and needs no account.

## For dealers

Dealers list their inventory automatically through a feed integration we
build against their stock system, promote featured vehicles, and reach
buyers across the island. Listing stock is included; promotion is bought in

## Where we operate

Jersey, Channel Islands only. Jersey is a Crown Dependency, outside the UK
VAT area, with its own vehicle registration (J plates), its own emissions
duty and a small closed market. That is precisely why a UK-wide vehicle
search cannot answer a Jersey question.
