Rides.je is Jersey's vehicle marketplace. It brings the live stock of the island's motor dealers — cars, vans, motorbikes and boats — into one searchable catalogue, refreshed from dealer feeds every night. ## Does it cost anything to use Rides.je? No. Searching, saving favourites, setting up alerts and using the import calculator are free and need no account. Dealers pay only for optional promotion credits, and finance is paid for by the lender rather than the buyer. ## Which areas does Rides.je cover? Jersey, Channel Islands, only. Jersey dealer stock does not appear on UK marketplaces, which is why a UK-wide vehicle search cannot answer a Jersey question. ## Does Rides.je sell vehicles itself? No. Every vehicle belongs to the dealer named on its listing, and the sale is between the buyer and that dealer. Enquiries go to the dealer through the listing page. ## How often is the stock updated? Dealer feeds are scraped nightly, so listings reflect the dealer's stock at the last scrape. Confirm price and availability with the dealer before travelling. ## Can I work out what it costs to import a car from the UK to Jersey? Yes. The import calculator estimates the landed cost including GST at 5%, Vehicle Emissions Duty based on CO2, and shipping. Jersey is outside the UK VAT area, so a UK price is not comparable without that adjustment. ## Can an AI agent use Rides.je? Yes. Rides.je publishes two MCP servers, a REST API, an NLWeb /ask endpoint and a markdown twin of every page, all free and without an account.
