Overview **Overall Comments** A visually very attractive Aston Martin in special Gulf Racing colours and an excellent driver’s car given its breathed-on V8-engined and rare manual gearbox. This is a ‘one-off’ in this specification. Low mileage, well maintained and in excellent order throughout, this sale represents an opportunity to own a premium brand British sports car. Supplied with a battery conditioner and tailor made colour coordinated quality car cover and bag. The Aston Martin is UK registered and currently located in the UK with viewing by arrangement. **Body** Aston Martin made use of lightweight materials in the construction of the Vantage body – a composite structure of aluminium, steel and magnesium with carbon fibre trim bits – with significant bracing both in the engine bay and behind the seats. This car has a very rare paint specification – according to the Aston Martin Heritage Trust “…. one of only 2 V8 Vantage S Coupes in Gulf Blue”. Originally supplied with Speed Orange detail on the nose and tail, these orange highlights have been wrapped in black vinyl for the current owner and the ‘Aston Martin’ sidestripes added. The front end of the car has also been (clear) wrapped with paint protection film and the whole body ceramic coated. The body is in excellent condition and together with the 19”, 5-spoke Graphite alloy wheels, the car is both striking and very smart. **Mechanical** The V8-engined Vantage models are hugely capable, both in terms of handling and performance. To keep even weight distribution, the car makes use of a transaxle and is equipped with various electronic driving aids including traction control and DSC (dynamic stability control). A standout feature of this particular example is the fitment of a 6-speed, manual gearbox – a rare specification with only a little over 100 supplied in the UK. Very well maintained and regularly serviced (last in February 2026), this Aston runs and drives exactly as it should. New ‘run-flat’ tyres were fitted in 2023. The current MOT expires in April 2027. **Interior** The interior is very highly specified – upholstered in Obsidian Black Strathmore leather with California Poppy stitching; carbon fibre interior trim pack and Taylor’s Grey headlining. The seats are electrically adjusted and heated. Equipped with satellite navigation, iPod connectivity and a 700 Watt audio system – this is luxury accommodation and all in excellent condition. Asking Price £ 64,950 History Introduced in the summer of 2005 as Aston Martin’s entry level car – this hand-built sportscar was initially powered by a 4.3-litre V8, which was subsequently increased to4.7 litres and a claimed 420 bhp, in 2008. The model evolution continued over the years with a 5.9-litre, V12 version added to the range in 2009 and the Vantage S in 2011. The bat-winged GT8 appeared in 2016 with the last variant being Vantage AMR before production ended in 2018. The V8 Vantage S was a sportier, more powerful (430bhp) variant of the ‘standard’ 4.7 litre V8. With a quicker steering rack; larger brakes; revised and slightly lowered suspension, together with a slightly larger rear spoiler for improved aerodynamics, the model offers a more involving drive and a claimed top speed of 190mph, together with a 0-60mph time of under 5 seconds. This car was first registered in June 2017 and covered just 10,000 miles with its first owner, prior to the current owner purchasing the car in 2023. The recorded mileage now stands at 13,700.
