Asking Price £ 45,999 History The Morgan Motor Company was founded in 1910 with the specific aim of building three-wheeled “cycle cars”. With a front-mounted engine powering the single rear wheel, they quickly became known for manufacturing well-designed and well-built vehicles, proving very capable in the racing world. Morgan's first four-wheeler – the 4/4 - was released to the public in 1936, following the same build principles as their 3-wheeled models (which were phased out in 1952). The Morgan Plus 4 was then introduced (in 1950) with a larger engine to provide more performance. This theme continued with the introduction of the Plus 8 in 1968, which made use of the Rover V8 engine. The turn of the century saw the development of new models – all still being handbuilt in traditional Morgan fashion - such as the Roadster and Aero 8, a revised Plus 4 and even a new Morgan 3-wheeler. As 2019 saw the 110th anniversary of the Company, Morgan celebrated this landmark with the introduction of a range of ‘110 Anniversary’ models. Each of these carries unique badging denoting its status as a limited edition vehicle. This 110 Anniversary car is one of the last of the traditional Morgan Plus 4s and is fitted with a 2.0 litre Ford engine mated to a Mazda MX 5 manual transmission.
