We’re a marketplace, not the seller

Rides.je doesn’t own, inspect, store or sell any of the vehicles you see on the site. We surface listings from dealers and private sellers. Any deal you do is between you and that seller — we’re not a party to the transaction.

Accuracy — we try hard, but…

Prices, photos, specs, mileage, and availability are pulled from the seller’s own data and refreshed regularly. While we’re in beta especially, errors creep in — a missing zero on a mileage, an out-of-date price, an image picked up from the wrong listing. Treat anything you see here as a starting point. Always confirm the important details (price, mileage, condition, history) directly with the seller before parting with money. Spotted a clear mistake? Tell us.

Listings and content

• Dealers are responsible for the accuracy of their listings. Listings can be removed without notice if they breach these terms or local law.
• Private sellers must own the vehicle they list, or have explicit permission from the owner. No commercial dealer activity under a private account, please.
• No dodgy stuff — no stolen vehicles, no misleading descriptions, no spam, no harassing other users. We’ll remove listings (and accounts) that cross the line.

Using the site

You can browse without an account. To enquire on a vehicle, save searches, list a vehicle, or use the dealer portal, you’ll need to sign in. Keep your login details to yourself. Don’t try to scrape, automate, or otherwise hammer the site beyond normal browsing — we run it on a small budget and would rather keep it up than fight with bots.

Enquiries and messaging

When you send a dealer an enquiry, we pass your message and contact details to that dealer so they can reply. We may keep a copy for your enquiry history and for dispute resolution. Be polite, be accurate, and don’t use enquiries to advertise other goods or services.

Finance, valuations, and tools

The import calculator, finance previews, and any valuation estimates on Rides.je are guides, not quotes. Actual figures depend on the lender, the seller, the vehicle, and a bunch of other factors. Don’t rely on them as financial advice.

Beta — things will change

Features may appear, disappear, or change shape. Data may be reset (we’ll never reset your account or saved data without warning). Bugs will happen — please report them. We don’t make any availability or fitness-for-purpose guarantees while we’re in beta. Use the site as-is.

Liability — the boring bit

To the extent the law allows, Rides.je isn’t liable for any loss you suffer as a result of using the site, relying on information shown here, or transacting with sellers you found via Rides.je. Nothing in these terms limits liability for things that can’t be limited by law (e.g. fraud or personal injury caused by our negligence).

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Jersey, Channel Islands. The Jersey courts have non-exclusive jurisdiction over any disputes.

Changes to these terms

We’ll update this page when the terms change, with a fresh “last updated” date at the top. If a change is material, we’ll do our best to flag it (banner on the site, email to account holders).
